Earlier in the summer (yes, it seems a long time ago now doesn’t it!), we were commissioned by The Dower House Nursing Home in Winchester, Hampshire, to produce a new promotional video as part of a marketing refresh for their website.
The video was to include aerial footage of their site to show off its beautiful green setting in the rolling Hampshire countryside, as well ground-level footage taken in and around their care home.
Weeks before the shoot was due to take place, we worked closely with the General Manager of The Dower House, Philippa Thompson, to make sure that every unique aspect of the care home would be featured in the video — this formed the ‘shot list’ which we then worked from during the shoot itself. Together with the shot list, we also worked with Philippa to create a voiceover script that she would read out — this would form the backbone of the video as it would help to describe what the viewer is watching in the video (eg. when talking about the extent of the grounds, an aerial video clip of the grounds was used, and so on).

Whilst we were on site, we were also asked if we could film a simple interview with Judith Lywood, the Owner and Founder of The Dower House. Working with the General Manager and Mrs. Lywood, we pieced together the following short interview video. As well as the video elements of this project, we were also asked to take some static aerial photographs of the site which could be used both online and in printed marketing material.
