Earlier in August we were commissioned by Columbian-based 3D visualisation company MONOMO to take some drone aerial photographs of a business park in Hersham, Surrey which is due to be turned into a Lidl supermarket. Once the images were taken, MONOMO would then super-impose a computer-generated 3D model of the new supermarket onto the aerial photographs to give the public an idea of what the final site would look like. As Hersham is such a built-up area, the most difficult part of this shoot was finding suitable locations to fly the drone, as there are many regulations that govern the use of drones in built-up areas.

Horizon Imaging was recently commissioned to take some aerial photographs using our drone in and around the Madejski Football Stadium in Reading, Berkshire. The brief was to capture aerial photographs which exactly matched computer-generated (CG) views created by visualisation experts, Realm Communication. The resulting images (having combined the CG images and aerial photographs) would then be used to advertise the proposed regeneration scheme for the Stadium and the surrounding area, known as 'Royal Elm Park'.

Horizon Imaging was recently commissioned to take some aerial photographs to show how close a new housing development is to the sea-front in the pretty coastal village of Prinsted, Hampshire. Whilst the sea cannot easily be seen from the site itself, the developer, Junnell Homes, were keen to illustrate that the development was within easy walking distance of the harbour – and what better way to do this than with a drone aerial photograph!
